The “Blind Fisherman” O.S.T.

The “Blind Fisherman” is a documentary by Thekla Malamou and Stratis Vogiatzis .It is the first one of a series based on “extraordinary people”. The ”Blind Fisherman” won the Audience Award on the 14th International Documentary Festival in Thessaloniki. This documentary presents the life of Yanni Koukoumialos, a blind man who lost his eyesight and his arm at the age of eleven, when a mine that was forgotten from WWII exploded. Born in a fishermen’s village, Langada, in the island of Chios Gr, he learns the art of fishing from a very young age. After his injury, he continues to ride in fishing boats, having already seamanship imprinted in his mind all through that age, but with a different perspective of his life, due to his acquired disability.
